How do news anchors detach from the influx of negative stories they have to cover every day?
That’s the question, and so many more, I was able to ask one of LA’s most recognizable faces; Araksya Karapetyan. She's a working mom, human rights advocate, and the co-anchor of Good Day LA.
We’ve had a few encounters over the years, when I’ve been a guest on her show, and she always struck me as a woman with incredible drive and pose—and I’ve always wondered how she juggles it all. In this episode, we find out what it’s like behind the scenes.

EP 55 The key to manifesting
Monday Feb 13, 2023
Monday Feb 13, 2023
How can you climb the vibrational ladder so your manifestations can flow to you?
You must first move out any low vibrational energy that is taking up the space needed for your new desire.
AKA you have to "move the moped"
You only have 1 vibrational "parking spot" for the thing you want and if there's a shitty little moped parked there, the big beautiful "dream car" (manifestation) can't fit in--no matter how much space there appears to be.
Raise your vibe. Move the moped. Get the stuff.

Is gender equality in the workplace just a pipe dream?
That's what I discussed with David G. Smith—Co-Author of Good Guy: How Men Can Be Better Allies For Women In The Workplace and Associate Professor at the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School.
Our conversation was open, honest, realistic, and exciting. I can say with 100% confidence that David is one of the Good Guys, and we need more like him to do the work and lead the charge for gender equality.

Can giving a gift hurt your relationship?
Yes.
In this episode, I welcome John Ruhlin—the world’s leading authority in maximizing customer loyalty through radical generosity. He is the founder and author of GIFT-ology and has been featured in Forbes, Fast Company, Inc, and New York Times.
We talked about everything from how much to spend on a gift, when to send one, and if you should ever expect anything in return.
Show Notes
(01:15) What is Radical Generosity? When should you give just to give without any hope of receiving?
(03:40) Why anything with your logo on it is not a gift
(08:21) Can bad gifts can trigger "gift guilt" in people? Do they feel like they have to show gratitude for receiving something that totally missed the mark?
(11:14) Does a good gift need to be expensive?
(12:59) Planned randomness is sending gifts at "random" times, outside the normal holidays and occasions, which is the expectation
(14:55) Should you send gifts BEFORE you go into business, or when a business contact doesn't pan out?
(20:05) Do you build good karma when you give gifts?
Why operating from a generous mindset means you are playing the long game, which is valuable in business as well.

Has your child been moody, irritable, distant, and maybe even a little smelly?
If so, they may be in pre-puberty (aka Middle Childhood).
I discuss with author, therapist, and podcast host Dr. Sheryl Ziegler what we can do as parents to help guide our children through these challenging times, and why so many of us are under that false misconception that puberty doesn’t “hit “until 13 yrs. old.
In researching for her next forthcoming book, she explains that puberty can start at age 7 or 8 years old—which was a surprise to me! Have a listen and get some insights and resources to make your child’s pre-puberty something to celebrate rather than “get through”.

(11:31) Middle childhood is often overlooked as an important stage in early development
(15:05) Both the girls and the boys would benefit from this gap in their education being filled

His book "This is How Your Marriage Ends" was not only eye-opening for me, but has been a game changer for many of my clients.

03:31 Why sometimes good men can be terrible husbands

31:26 For a relationship to work, BOTH parties need to work on themselves, and Matthew's book is a great practical resource
